How many photos do you have of your pup on your cell phone? My guess is you have too many to count! Me, too! I take snapshots of my pup (and my rescued cat) almost daily. They’re cuteness and spontaneous antics are hard to resist.

So then why do I also take professional quality photos of my pups and client pups? Why would I invest the time and effort? For that matter, why should anyone invest in professional pup photography? Is it worth it?” Yes! It’s absolutely worth it!

As a professional photographer I have the skills and patience to capture all the different expressions of your dog’s personality: funny, serene, playful, active, and even soul searching. Additionally, I know how to put the focus on your pup but also include you. My client dogs and their owners always have a great time during the session. Working with me is a little different than a lifestyle or family photographer because I come equipped with dog handling skills. I know that special moment to bring out the treat. I also instinctively know the best time to use an attention-getting squeaker toy and when to not ever bring it out. Over the years I’ve learned how to coax expressions from camera shy dogs, how to settle overactive dogs, when a dog (and owner) needs a break, and when they both may need a good run!

And, of course, my photography kit is chocked full of professional grade lenses that insure I’ll be able to deliver close-up images as well as action shots.
